Definition

Serious games for science & research in government & NGO are basically focused on improving the government  and/or NGOs (non-governmental organizations e.g. Greenpeace ).  Playing such games will provide research results for those organizations, and help the organizations or government to improve certain parts of their system. Those games aim  to provide research results for those organizations, and help them to improve particular parts of their system. The aim of these games is to provide the government or NGOs with useful results to certain researches and tests or to train them to operate.

Example games

The Foreign Ground single player game was developed by Swedish National Defense College and Data Ductus as a research and development project in cooperation with Luleå University of Technology.
