Serious games for Soldier Support Training are developed to train soldiers to gain more lifelike experience in a safe and un-harming environment. These games aim to teach soldier how to handle and react in certain difficult situations or conflicts. This includes learning how to handle with weapons, how to drive certain vehicles, how to use different strategies, how to communicate. It could also simulate certain scenarios like hostage situations, ambush, captivity and all other sorts. In these simulation soldiers get prepared to take difficult decisions without ever get in real physical danger.

The initial application has involved convoy-operations training, but Ambush! is beginning to be applied in other areas, including platoon level mounted infantry tactics, dismounted operations, Rules-of-Engagement training, cross-cultural communications training, and has the flexibility to apply in other areas as well.[2]
